That video has been around for years. I believe it was either a steering failure or a gear failure that triggered the whole event.
There was no failure at all!
After the ship plowed through the boats at the marina, they headed out to sea, without as much as a VHF call.
Norwegian coast guard boarded the vessel an hour later, and held the captain for questioning.
A dreadfull act of the captain with no thoughts for the boats.
I could link to articles to about the incident, but they are all in danish or norwegian.

Around 22 o'clock on July 6 was
a small marina in Levanger , Norway radio

Okay, it was tough luck for the boat owners who got their boats smashed, but did anyone see the OP's second video? Wow! I would be changing my shorts for sure if I was in the middle of one of those storms. I wonder if any storm tactics would save a small sailboat in a sea where an aircraft carrier digs its bow into a swell.
