Hi, is there anyone here in Virginia who would allow me on their boat to watch/learn and or perhaps help sail? I can also help with cleaning boat or repairs if you need a hand. I am just trying to really get out there and learn as much as possible as well as make "sailing friends."

Oh I forgot to say this is not so I live on your boat or something. I maybe a college student in destitution, but I have a place to live lol. I want to just meet up here and there for trip/practice whenever you go out or times that suit us both.

I would love to here from all.

Can't help you sws, (unless you move out west ;)), but I've clarified your title and moved the thread out of 'companionship' to 'crew available'.

Good luck!

I think the open house has passed for this year. I emailed them, let's see if someone replies back and helps me out.

I am sure there are sailboats that sail in the winter months nov-dec because VA does not really get that cold. There must be a way to link up with these folks.

I think non-members have to pay $25. There website is confusing and the membership app is also confusing. But you said you don't have to pay.

Just show up at one of the Quantico Yacht Club meetings and let them know you are interested in crewing. You don't have to be a member to attend the meetings or to crew.
