Hi Amy,

It's very late in the season for boats to head to Europe.

The Caribbean/Azores route is May to early June.

I am in Amsterdam now and the sailing weather is good. A few friends have gone to Germany and the Baltic, but most left the UK quite early in the season.

The 2 sailing seasons don't really connect unless one leaved the USA very early in the Dangerous time of April.

It's the weather pattern thing. Boats in the Caribe head for EU in late spring ahead of the hurricane season. Hurricanes will typically head north in any path between US and EU.
