I recently acquired a boat with an Arctic Air Marine 16,000 btu marine ac unit.
The compressor is frozen, resists all inducement from capacitors, easy starts and mallets.

I've conducted an exhaustive internet search, the company was based out of Hudson Florida.
I need to replace the compressor, but there is are no markings on the compressor whatsoever, has anybody worked with this particular brand/company that could shed some light on the manufacturer of the compressor?

Failing that, if anyone knows and good marine ac resources in Miami, I'd appreciate any help.
Best regards, Joe.

Little marine and window unit typical Compressors are not made by the vendor, Panasonic is the most common. anyone in HVAC like me can get you one. But I would suggest you replace the machine.

Question is do you know how to do this project ?

you only need the btu rating voltage, refrigerant used (22 is is being phased out) new caps and you adapt the copper tubes to the new.

Mallets??? what was the "locked rotor" amps? Does the refrigerant smell "burnt"?
