This poor boat yard just can't catch a break . A couple of yrs. ago when they had the big fire in Avalon it burnt down . Now this, and who knows what the storm Norbert is going to bring .

Not my boat !Well it is hurricane season right now . That's why the southern migration doesn't start till late Oct. As for that Russian guy I think I know who your talking about , check with Latitude 38 .

I just found a whole thread on him in sailing anarchy. He's a star over there.

He got slammed by the first cane and blew his main and is now sailing somewhere between Mexico and Hawaii with a storm jib.

When he left SF 25 days ago he was towing a dinghy, but nobody knows if he still is. His is averaging 1.26knots.

Is SoCal getting slammed by waves or is this Marie that took out Avalon?
