Does anyone know if you can tell how deep something is in the sea by looking at google earth? Or are there any other sea floor maps available if not? I'm interested in sea mounts and would like to be able to look up their depths .

Pretty sure that NOAA publishes bathymetric charts out to roughly the continental shelf.

I'm not exactly sure what you want, but there are products like this that may help. You have to do some work to get at the data, and the resolution isn't very high, but if you are looking for global data that will help with sea mounts, products like this could be useful.
