could be a number of reasons for the diff in water consumption:

if the water consumption is considerable, then batt 1 & 2 are cooking, ie are getting to high voltages.

Sony mentioned the possibility with too high resistance in some cables, to which one should include conatct issues.

Temp is another factor, if 1&2 are more exposed to somewhat higher temps then ...


As this is a 12 V system, with two battery banks in //, then if bank12 has a somewhat lower voltage than band34, then it will constantky be chaged by bank34 - this is the old issue with connecting batteries in //, they must be equal.

First thing you should check are the connectors and cables. Often there are issues around the terminals, as well as the cables close to the batteries as the environment is acid and also carries currents.
