My traveler is positioned just behind the helm. I was going to install a bimini top which would end just before that. However, im thinking maybe I can have one made that extends past it with a small section opened for the lines to go through it. Anyone ever do this?

Thanks! 👍

I've seen sheets and halyards pass through biminis, but they are usually forward, rarely aft of the helm. You should just have a couple of bimini makers come to the boat and tell you what can and cannot be done, and get a quote.
I always have leather sewn onto the bimini wherever a sheet, halyard or crew hands touch it, while getting by, around, or into the cockpit. It will keep the cloth clean and prevent wear. It's a tad expensive, but it could save you having to have two or more biminis made in the period a properly made bimini will last.
