Hello all

We are sailing out of anapolis tomorrow on our way to st micheals.

They cant take us until sunday, so we though perhaps we could anchor overnight near a good bird watching spot.

Any recommendations?

Hell Everyone
We did end up checking out the wye river. We draw 8 ft so it was a little tricky in places. Esp. I am not used to navigating windy rivers. We ended up dropping anchor off of what was labelled as a wildlife area. Sorry i cant
This turned out to be a bit of a disappointment. Despite being labelled as the " Wye Island Natural resources management area. The area has only very thing strips of forest habitat the rest is a CORN FIELD.

Here is the google map link

https://maps.google.com/maps?q=38.882942N+76.184219W+(Natural Trail, Queenstown, MD 21658, USA)&z=14

Despite this disappointment we made the best of it. There where plenty of birds in the narrow strips of forest. We saw Ospreys, herons and lots of smaller birds i dont know the name of.

We also found a small beach area where our baby could splash in the sand and shallows.

Thanks for the the tip.

Andreas
