Brent’s boats clearly cross oceans. You can find them for sale in places like Hawaii and Mexico.
A lot to unpack there ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

The real bottom lines here are a) not a big enough boat for the cruising you mention in just space for stores, gear and clothing. b) in the ocean a deep keel is what you want. The twin keel boats are for inshore work in tidal areas. c) steel has its points but maintenance isn't one of them. It's the worst. d) The Pardeys and Shane Actons, and Webb Chileses of the world are special people. Maybe you're one of those but most are not. e) It's going to sail like a slug. That won't be OK for long for most people.

With your concern with self-righting at sea ... ya really couldn't pick a worse boat.
