Hey everyone just purchased a 1975 Bristol Caravel 22 and starting the restore process. I am looking for any that owns or has owned one for some help, specifically any pictures of the mast rigging and the step. Also, if someone could point me in the direction of where i could get replacement spreaders for the mast as well. Any help is greatly appreciated!!

I read your post about rigging and mast step photos
and I will try to help you out, but give me about 2 weeks to respond.

I have Bristol 22 items for sale. From keel to mast top.
contact Kenn and let me know what you need.
As of now the whole boat is available, However I will start selling items such as Tiller,
Mast, Boom, Sails including Spinnaker/Whisker Pole.
The boat sails great and is very stable, currently located on Raritan Bay NJ
NOTE: Years ago I repaired a loose rudder, if you have that problem let me know I'll
tell you how I corrected the problem by installing a new Bearing.

Welcome to Bristol ownership! Not much activity here on Sailnet for the Bristol's. Sailnet is great for general questions about sailing and repairs.

If you are looking for the Bristol crowd, small as it might be...https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/bristolboatowners/info is a private group, you will need to get permission to join. You will find a wealth of info, pics and files there.

https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/BristolList/info is an open to the public group, some activity there and info.

https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/bristol-yachts This is an open group too. Some good activity there.

Come join us on FB, a little more modern format...https://www.facebook.com/groups/52017206405/

I love Sailnet, this is a great site for info and many, unlike myself, knowledgeable people. And, the biggest audience I have seen. If you have a general question, I would ask it here, you will get way more responses. And don't ask on the Bristol list on sailnet, no one but the ones signed up for the Bristol group will see it. Post your questions in Gear and maintenance or any other common threads.

Yes, I have the Main, Two Jibs (working & 150), Storm Jib. Spinnaker and Whisker Pole. I have the
Tiller and some of the cushions.
The Hull, Rudder, Mast & Boom, all the standing rigging and Most of the running rigging
is still at Olsen's Boat Works in Keyport NJ. He has the Title to the boat.
I could not afford the boat and Olsen took it off my hands. He will cut it up for scrap at
some time so I suggest you contact him soon and before the spring. If you want what items I have, come inspect them and make me an offer. By the way the boat sailed nice, being 22 feet the maintenance was reasonable. but the yacht club and winter storage fees were expensive for only using the boat 10 to 12 times a year.
I took photos of the rigging, but I don't know how to post them.

I am Blake Scott. I am interested in speaking with you about the items you still have. I have tried contacting Olsen, but haven't gotten an answer yet. Please send me a private message with your phone number so I can get in touch with you. Since I am new I have to post 15 posts before I can send a PM. Thanks

BTW, Kenn one way to post pictures is to upload them into photobucket, then just copy the IMG script into the post. We all like pictures of our old boats!
