Hi all, The original plaques on boats from 1966 to 1973 have plastic, metalized plaques. As seen in this picture, the aluminum does hot hold up for more than 20 years. I am working with Bristol Bronze to recreate these plaques in bronze.

Here we go! I just dropped the art work off to Rodger at Bristol Bronze. He thinks he can have them done by early December! But there are a few factors out of his control that will regulate it. He is going to have 12 made up. I told him that we would need more like 15 to 20 right off. He said to check in with him in a few weeks and he would know better when they will be done. His phone number is 401-625-5224 if anyone wants to commit to ordering one of the ones he is making now. Matt, Harry and I will take one each... I believe they will be very nice. Remember he does not do the hull number stamping.

A long story made short...I just got an update from Rodger at Bristol Bronze and all is going well. I will be picking up my plaque within the next two weeks. I will post a picture when I have it. He is making 12 for a first run. I am taking three of them, one for me, Matt and Harry.

I picked them up today! They came out great! Bristol Bronze, Rodger 401-625-5224, his is usually there in the afternoons, tell him I sent you. $66 for the plaque all bronze and $71 for the plaque with the black recessed. He want me to tell you all, he specializes in reproduction of all boat parts in bronze. He collects and want us to send him parts that need replacing before they are too worn out to reproduce. He will cast and keep these reproduction on hand for quick replacements if you need then. He has all kinds of parts in stock, mostly Herreshoff boats, but is also stocking some Bristol and Pearson parts. He has the replacement rudder shoe in stock! His web site is: https://www.bristolbronze.com. I will be finishing these three plaques with the hull numbers and painting the red and black sail logo, then clear coat in lacquer. I will post pictures when they are done in about a week.

Here is the finished plaques, I had the hull numbers engraved, painted the sail logo, finished polished and clear coated with lacquer.

About a year ago, I posted a link on the "Bristol Yacht Owners" facebook groups page as to where they could get them...I am not a member anymore, but you can join and ask, or do a search. Last I heard, as of last year, Bristol Bronze was were closed...that may have changed.

There are other companies that can make them as well. I can supply the artwork in .svg if you want. Usually it's the setup charge (artwork ), that runs the cost up for a one time run.

Hello, If possible, can I get a copy of the .SVG file? I recently acquired a Bristol last year and would like to get one of these made (it took me a while to find the hull number, the hide it well, so I think it would be a good idea to make one of these and stick it somewhere prominently in the cabin so next time I need the number I can find it).

Unfortunately Bristol Bronze is now closed forever. Yes I can provide the .svg. This site will not let me upload ,svg, so I added pdf at the end, just remove it after downloading.

interesting enough, my 1967 Bristol Corsair does not have that on it anywhere, but it does have the number on a small tag just above the entrance to the V-Berth...Where should I look??
