Whilst building a boat is far too much work for me, I do like seeing when other people's projects come together. The video below is one I found whilst doing my daily "boat põrn inspiration" search for the day...

Fairlie 55 from nothing to sailing :)

Amazed to see them using that much epoxy without any sort of respirator. The guys sanding do wear dust masks, at least.

I really enjoyed watching it be built. Very nice looking boat, perhaps on the list of what to spend my lottery winnings on.

I liked where they said "why would you want the plastic alternative?" Well if you have to ask.... Granted if I had the money I would would likely go custom built strip plank cold molded but it is a bit more than a production boat.

Helped my Dad build a couple of boats, one an International Class Star boat , around 1945, LOTS of work taking LOTS of time. I guess the homebuilder has to decide whether to spend his time building or sailing one that has already been built?

Beautiful boat in the video, thanks for sharing.
