I have a Tayana 37 with a butterfly hatch which is difficult to keep from leaking. In the past I've used close cell weather stripping foam inserted where the wings of the hatch meet the center to prevent water intrusion. It usually lasts several years before replacement, but in order to work the hatch must be closed completely. There must be another way to remedy the leakage since there is also a "rain gutter" below this foam which will channel the water out allowing the hatch to remain partially open in the rain. Has anyone been able to channel the water into this "rain gutter" and how was it done?
