The best infor sorce would be the owners group...
That said, the boats were made from pre-preg and heat-cured under vacuum on a mold. Neither de-lamination or water intrusion are reported problems on this boat. If water intrudes, it cannot flow beyond 1 cell, which is a short distance, indeed. No blisters, either.
At Wildjibe.Hey all,
I'm buying a Stiletto 27' cat. It is prepreg epoxy glass over a Nomex core which is vacuum bonded. The boat is nearly 25 years old. The question is.... What do I look for. Nomex doesn't rot but I assume it could delaminate? Any other issues to keep my eye on? Water intrusion maybe?
If your familiar with the boat, anything to watch out for with a Stiletto?
Thanks
