I recently acquired a C&C 24. It needs a a good amount of work. It does not have a mast but I have a few masts around my place that I could fit to it.

Does anyone know the length of the mast on this boat?

Would it hurt to put a taller or shorter mast on?

What are the pros and cons of a taller or shorter mast?

Did you try calling C&C.. as they are still in business..sort of... and could probably give you that information.

A different mast might hurt, but it depends.

I'd not be expecting the "new" C&C to have a lot data hanging around with regard to the real C&C line from Canada. From Mauipro sailiong the rig dimensions are/were:
C+C 24
"I" 29.0 ft (distance deck to masthead)
"J" 10.5 ft (distance forestay to mast base)
"P" 23.5 ft (distance gooseneck to full hoist main)
"E" 8.5 ft (length of foot of main along boom)

This should give you an idea how well what you have available may fit.

look up southshore yachts. They are the c&c guru's.They will have or make what you need.
please dont shoehorn junk onto your boat.
