C30 pricing data?

I'm in the market for a C30 and was wondering if anyone here would be willing to share any recent actual sale prices they know of. I'm in New England and I'm particularly interested in very clean boats that sold in the $20k-$35k range.

If you happen to know of any boats for sale that meet the above criteria, I'm interested in that too.

I paid 16,000 for my C30 2 years ago... a 1976 in pretty good shape.
20 to 35,000 you should be able to get a very late model one I would think, and expect it to be in extremely good shape. I know of an early 80's that sold for $2,400 with diesel, and in good shape except for some moisture in the cockpit sole. Was engineer maintained, and in good shape other than the cockpit floor.
I can't see paying more than 20 for a C30 in decent condition.
1982 C30 $5k. Motor has to be rebuilt and was very dirty but she is sound.

Very clean is the key phrase.

Expect to find a nice MKII (1986-1994) for that price range.

The MKIII with the open transom and a more modern interior is the most popular C30 model with prices in the 40's and even into the 50's for very clean boats with a lot of recent upgrades.

1994 was a bit of a hybrid boat with the MKII interior and a walk through transom.

That said some very good deals can be had this time of year in the northeast as people want to avoid paying winter storage.

This article on the Catalina 30 Owners Org Site spells out some of the differences between models, but keep in mind people have done so many upgrades to these boats you really have to look at them individually.

1985 standard rig MKI in good shape but older sails and the cradle for $12,500 in May 2016. Found in the Finger Lakes and trucked her to Buffalo NY.

Do you realize that this thread is 3 years old? I believe that he purchased a 1992 Hunter Vision 32.

Yep, Selkie is currently wintering in East Boston. Thanks for the info, but I'm not in the market any more.
