Just trying to raise some 'dust' for some activity on this sub-forum.. did a sail from Halifax, Nova Scotia to Hermatige, Newfoundland via St.Pierre and Miguelon a number of years ago. As I recall lots of big ships (close enough to hear their props cavitating)in lots of fog along with threats of 'berg warnings flowing south out of the Gulf of St. Lawrence the further we went north. Got lots of RADAR experience on that one-hell-of-a trip! Swimming in water fall fed fjords along Newfoundland's coast line..Brrr.

Beautiful areas and my respects to the Canadian Coast Guard..they are first rate!

p.s. Ask why Newfoundlanders don't learn to swim...
