I'm looking for one in the San Francisco area. So far I've only seen a few new ones listed for about $1,200 with the basics.

A Cheap dodger? Good luck with that! :D

If you're handy you could try Popeye's Sailor Exchange in North Van. They might have the components to piece one together.

Popeyes' is (temporarily??) shut down, they were booted out of their shop some time back.. even the online site is down.

'Cheap dodgers' are a rarity. Our son found a close fit for his C36 and modified it to fit, he already had the frame and found the canvas portion on CL or EBay for cheap.

I think there's still a sailor's exchange type consignment store in Steveston, and in Sidney on the Island...

To bad Poeyes is gone, I used to like poking around in there, although they were never quite the same after they moved from their original location.
