I have a tabernacle-stepped mast and need to replace the wiring and connection at the base of the mast. How do you get to (and replace) the wiring harness that leads up to the deck at the base of the mast?

I have a Hunter 36...and need the same advice. I was told a 2 inch hole cut in the mast, above the wiring connections may work. Replace with Stainless plate, 3M 5200 and stainless screws. I haven''t tried it yet, but need to. My lights all worked before the mast was stepped, but afterwords, none work. Also, the VHF antenna wire is not together properly, so I get no reception with the exception of local weather.

Anyone attempted this before?
