Catalina 38 S&S
I don''t know if you have sailed one of these boats but they are quite dependent on large light air genoas. Large light air genoas tend to have short lifespans because they tend to be made from lighter cloth than than the rest of the sail inventory. I would check that carefully.
These boats are getting up in age and so should be checked for the usual older boat maladies, deck core delamination, bulkhead tabbing tears, engine condition, Deck, head and galley equipment, safety of the Propane system epecially does it meet modern standards, instrumentation operation, Standing and running rigging at or past its ueseful lifespan and so on. I can''t recall if this is a bolt on keel or an encapsolated one but keel bolts should be check on a bolt on and an encapsolated keel should be checked for delamination of the keel shell from the ballast.
Good luck,
Jeff
