Hi people, I'm a new member but and old sea dog. In my younger days
I did a lots of power boating and Hydroplane racing, always in a hurry
to go nowhere until five years ago I trade in my power boat for a sail
boat and just love it.

I been racing J/24 for the last five years, but getting tired of it and just
got myself an older model Catalina C22 wing keel which is good for me
because I want to be able to go in shalow water.

I'm a boat builder by trade and have no problem fixing this catalina to my
liking, however there no date of manufacture on the plate, how would I
fine out what year this boat was build????

There should be a plate on the inside of the transom. The serial no. is stamped on this plate. That is also the sail no. The C22 national website has an article on dates of manufacture and how to read the whole no. which should be on the outside of the transom, starboard side right up just under the rub rail. It begins with CTY-------
