Nice video. Wish I knew how to do that. Great you had two friends to go with you.
One question - "how are your jib sheets run?"
And one comment. How old are your navtec turnbuckles? A rigger once told me that they tend to fail catastrophically from internal (ie unseen) corrosion. I don't know if that is true, but I was strongly advised to replace them as they were already 30 years old.
Amazing what you can do with an iPhone.

Thanks! My jib sheets are run through adjustable jib track on the deck, tun back to a block on the toe rail then up to the winch. I'll check on those turnbuckles.

Interesting video. A 3-part Cunningham would do wonders for your mainsail shape.

Caught the video at the job so couldn't listen, but the videography work was nicely done. Brought a smile to my face. Thanks for sharing a great vid.

On your next trip, spend an hour or so sailing up to/toward Huntington Beach before turning off-shore toward Bird Rock/Two Harbors. You'll get a better lay-line directly to Two-Harbors and won't have to screw around tacking along the east side of the island. You'll also get across the shipping lanes more quickly.

FWIW...
