La Cieba shipyard in La Ceiba Honduras can haul catamarans to 25' wide. Storage yard is secure with several armed guards patrolling all hours day and night.

The shipyard is also a duty free port so if you order boat parts you can ship them direct to Honduras with no duty. Beaware the yard may want to charge a service fee, but this depends if you are doing the work or they are. DIY is possible and the yard store has the basics for a bottom job.

120v Power in the yard is sketchy and runs in the low 100v range with lots of fluxuation. As many of the yards clients are large steel fishing boats and they do alot of welding that draws down the avaialble power.

Sand blasting of the big fish boats can make things dirty if the wind is blowing your way.

The staff are freindly and many speak english.

outstanding websight and sailing experience, great photos and information. I'm completely jealous ! I could only hope to get to do as much travel as you two.
La Cieba looks interesting as well as affordable.
