An old thread, but it is timely to warn that the Java script has a few problems and we have switched to using teacup navigation Teacup Navigation Home. We have tested Teacup and found it functions very well. Cheers

I like the tea cup program but I also like to do simple stuff which is fairly easy take a night azmeth sighting on polaris that will give you a good idea as to your attitude and a solar noon will give you both a attitude and longitude just need an octant, astrolab, or sextant. Along with a small sundial also the solar declinations by day of year and you can get within a few miles of exact
