So; after spending a day working on the existing exhaust through hull, which rotted through at the exhaust hose connection. I have decided to drill out and replace the entire through hull (The current one is embedded in the hull).
So, the current port is connects to a 1 7/8 ID hose. My questions are:
1) One day I plan on upgrading to a approx 25HP, what size should i increase to??
2) what is a nice through hull?, most of the ones I am seeing are chromed and have a flap, and look like a they belong on the back of a sea-doo.
I would like to keep the integrity of my 1971 boat- so something bronze, internal flap would be good... but something that looks nice. ???
