For those who sail near where I am in New England, we all know that this love of ours can often be futile attempt at finding the wind so we can actually "sail." Well anyone who was out yesterday in the Boston area will have to agree that it was one of the BEST DAYS EVER!!! NW winds, 10-15 knots gusting above 20. Beautiful sunny skies. I left the mooring in Salem Harbor and sailed all the way to Gloucester on a single tack. My girl was at the helm while I trimmed the sails and worked the traveller when the gusts hit. Coming into Gloucester two clipper ships raced past us. (I will try and post pics on my photo page, I can never get them on my thread). We didn't drop sail until we got to the mooring field. Had lunch on the boat, then Took the launch into town for a couple of bevies at Captain Carlos's then had just as perfect of a sail back home. (Last year the Gloucester Harbor Master started a launch service for $5 a head one way, better than inflating the dingy). So while Mother Nature beat me down Friday night, she was kind and generous to me yesterday. :)

Posted a few pics in my albums!

That is a good wind direction for you. We were spotty in Narragansett Bay yesterday. ;)
