Hi, I am planning to live aboard, moving to a new marina. I am excited about it, but the new marina requires insurance. What is the absolute cheapest insurance possible? I do not care whether the coverage is good or bad, I just need the piece of paper saying that I have insurance. I have heard about classic car insurance that is really cheap... does this exist for boats?

My insurance is only for the damages that my boat can cause to others and the limit is not more than then value of my boat. This is a special insurance policy specially developed for the marina.

I just found a good one:

Progressive minimum coverage in all ways: $99 annually.

Compared to Geico at 228 that is pretty good!

Get liability only... that's all the marina cares about. However, I'd point out that salvage and enviromental remediation coverage is probably a good idea... as the cost of cleanup if your boat sinks and leaves a slick of diesel behind are astronomical—as are the fines if you don't clean it up. :D
