This is the only 'zine I subscribe to.

This issue's article; Knots, Nautical Miles and King Henry’s Nose is one reason why I do.

I read nearly all of the content, I guess that's why I subscribe!!

A few issues ago they did another article about nautical superstitions. I wish I could find a link to share the articles with you, but sometimes I just bust out laughing reading these things!!

Hopefully, some of you are familiar.

We used to subscribe but became to ad filled..if you took all the ads out you'd probably find about 15 pages of readable articles and of those 15..90% is power boat oriented. I once asked Tom Dove( a fellow amateur radio operator),technical editor for the mag, why so power boat oriented..he relates..that's where the money's at...

Yes even in this economic down turn CBM is one subscription I keep current. the wife gave me a 3 year subscription (2010) to 'hold' me over until we were with boat back on the Bay. It worked as in 2009 we will be with boat and on the bay again.

I enjoy the free subscription choices from the Balt. Boat show too. Coming from the darkside (power boating) I used to love getting my MotorBoating subscription re-up'ed for the price of admission to the show. That has seemed to stop this year so it looks like Cruising World will have to take its place. Last year my wife got Cruising World and I re-up'ed the Motor Boating... Now that I have succumbed to sailing I 'gasp' hardly even open the MotorBoating and Boating mags as they come in and practice knots on my Fourteener tool.

I will have to check out SpinSheet this year the price is right but finding it up in PA may be a chore. I will have to debate on whether the Sail or Sailing will get renewed in 09.... Sail started after last years Balt. Boat show and Sailing came with my ASA courses...

Right now as I continue to dream of owning a bigger boat Sail seems to be what I like, but the large format of Sailing is neat too...

I even got an offer to renew "Sail" for $5 but didn't.

CBM has articles resembling the short stories of real reading magazines of old.

I hope they get more!!

Spinsheet does offer to mail it to you for a fee. It could be worth it.

I get mine at West Marine.

Problem is, unlike most publications, the 01/09 issue probably won't be out until the second week of January!!
