Clear Lake's calling card is â?? not surprisingly â?? a sailboat.

The logo design was created by Garry Gamble in November 1984 as part of a contest sponsored by the Clear Lake Arts Council and the city. The city received 171 entries. Gamble won $500. The stylized drawing gives the impression of a sailboat in motion.
