I was looking over the Coast Guard Aux boating safety program and when I checked for Michigan it has nothing on the west side of the state available? I found that strange since we have a lot of boating in Holland/Grand Haven/Muskegon and hold the CG Festival in Grand Haven every year?

Anyone know of public / free sailboat safety course here in West Michigan. The CG site did say they only offer this in the off-season...so now would be a perfect time to find more info.

I do plan on getting ASA certified, but sailing season as about done. I was looking for something educational to participate in for the winter.

heres the site I found...U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary, 9th Central Region, Serving Lake Superior, Lake Huron, Lake St. Clair, West end of Lake Erie & the connecting Rivers

thnx in advance

not so easy....

:( I contacted them via email and now the seminar has been removed? Nothing else in West Michigan...the Coast Guard capital???

"amended..." My comment stating the class had been cancelled was incorect. It has been removed from the site but someone did contact me. Perhaps class is full and thats why it was removed. So Im good to go for now...
