Congrats to Craig on s/v Luckness for his safe arrival in French Polynesia.

137 mile days on average. Not bad for a single-hander and with an ITCZ crossing to boot. No motoring and nothing broke. Job well done.

If you have not been reading his blog, highly recommended: s/v Luckness

I first met Craig in San Diego a couple of years ago before he sailed back home to Seattle by way of Hawaii. Then I bumped into him again by accident in a little cove at Isla Partida, 25 miles from La Paz. What a surprise! He brought over ice cold bottles of one of my favorite IPA's. Great guy and great seaman. He sure gets around!

Considering I get anxious when I leave a marina by myself, this is quite an accomplishment. Hope to gain the experience and confidence necessary to sail into the South Pacific. Dreams do come true, don't they?
