Hi - I am considering purchase of a 1980 Pearson 32. I would love to hear feedback from people who have sailed this model, how she is under sail and whether the 12 HP Universal is adequate power.
I have sailed my Pearson 32(1979) 7000 miles in7 years! Great boat sails very well, points well and has a good motion in the waves.you must be in some sort of shape to climb out of cabin and over the high bridge to the deck.this is a very solid boat but as always get a survey, that said they are cherished boats and owners seem to always keep them in good to great condition
Hi Norsearayder - thanks for the reply. That's an amazing endorsement for the P32. Unfortunately the boat failed survey so I decided to keep looking and found a 1983 P34 that I've fallen for. It has had an acceptable survey and we will close on purchase in 1 week. Needs some clean up and engine maintenance and should be in the water for sail home from Grrenport LI to Rhode Island very soon.
Thanks
Mark
