holy cats, what a bad idea... imagine trying to blow that in an emergency. No thank you.

let me rephrase: good for furlers, not so much for sheets
Its for my forward boom traveler. The old one has just about had it, and I am trying to decide if I should add a second winch or just replace it with another one. The $600 tag is a bit steep, but at least now I know what to search for. Thank you.

You might also try 'continuous furler' but you'll likely have to modify it to mount flush in some way. Turning block and cleat won't work for you? Something akin to a 'windward traveler' rig with a continuous line might also do the trick.
