Hi,
I am looking to buy the Navionics Gold East Cost chart kit for my new Raymarine plotter. I found the charts I need for locally for a great price - but the charts are on a SD (secure digital) card, which does not fit my plotter (it needs compact flash).
Is it possible to copy the charts off the SD card, and onto a CF card? Will this work, or is there some kind of copy protection?

No, probably not... Navionics uses a proprietary card format and card reader.

It would really be a much better idea if you posted this in a thread of its own, since it really has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING TO DO WITH THE TOPIC.

Also, I highly recommend that you read the POST in my signature. You've been a member for over a year... so please get a clue, it ain't rocket science. :D

I've not tried it but all I've read on the net says you cannot copy the charts at all without them getting scrambled. That's how they keep them from getting pirated.
