Hi. I am a beginner sailor looking to get some more experience and time on the water. I have completed the basic keelboat course and participate in weekly club sails and races. However, I am looking to gain some experience on some larger cruising boats than the 26ft race boats the club offers. My goal, besides enjoying the time out on the water, is to gain enough experience to competently bareboat charter a 30-35 boat at some point in the future.

I'm a 32 year professional male with a very easy going personality and willing to help out and share expenses. I live in Jersey City, NJ so the easiest marinas for me to get to are weehawken, hoboken and jersey city. I am available weekday evenings and weekends. Any opportunity to learn would be greatly appreciated.

Check which marinas run beer can racing on weeknights and call them. They usually will welcome non members for crew positions.
