I skipper a Baltic 38DP out of Oyster Bay, NY and I am seeking additional crew for the 2014 racing season. We will be racing Wednesday evenings around the cans in Oyster Bay and competing in weekend distance races in and around Long Island Sound.

I met a great couple through a posting here once before. They had no experience when they started sailing with me and they now own their own boat, which is why I need additional crew . Men, women, young, old, beginner or experienced, all are welcomed. The only requirement is a passion for sailing.

I would love too! Rocky point based, got experience and the passion, however I'm only available on weekends, which may or may not be a problem.

I skipper a 28 O'Day in Port Washington, but my boat isn't made for racing, lol

I'm very interested. I'd be available mostly for weekends and maybe a Wednesday night or two if you're in a pinch. I work/live in the City, so I'd have to sneak out of the office early but have wheels to get out to Oyster Bay. I have a couple ASA certs, raced beer can in Buffalo in high school and have some J24 and 420 racing experience but don't have a huge amount of racing experience. Non racing, I have sailed on various boats in NY area, the great lakes and out of Brighton in the English channel. I'm 27 years old a bigger guy and usually grind/trim but have no aversion to any role. I just love to be out there. Hope to hear from you!

Hey Loki! Not much sailing experience but I am an Arborist for the USDA so I am very familiar with ropes and knots. I also am an avid kitesurfer so I have the elementary version of sailing concepts sorta figured out...I'de make the time so please feel free to call or email if any space is still available.
