Daily Photo - Not Special, just often

Every day most of us click a photo or 2 on the phone.

This thread is for ordinary type photos that you snapped today.
They might be about the boat, about your life, or where you are.

They don't need to be artistic 'wow' photos, just a snap. 😊😊😊

They don't even need a caption.

I think you rightly pointed out that the Hermitage is mostly a place that cruisers visit, and not a local destination. The trash isn't the local's fault there.

Maybe the cruisers put all those beer BOTTLES in their backpacks and did the 2 mile hike and climbed the hill with them.

I doubt it!

My current temporary home. Semidesert, sorta badlands, overlooking the South Saskatchewan River. Pretty... in a dry, non-ocean way.

Looks like white Sandy beaches. Do you know what species bird those are?

Almost makes you want to go swimming ... almost.
The birds are just boring old Canada Geese, of the resident variety. The river doesn't generally freeze here. There are even cactus plants around here; some sort of prickly pear I think:

I love Canada Geese!! At the end of summer there were loads in New York in the waterfront. Very pretty birds. Make a great dinner. 😋

Yeah... a bit gristley for my taste ;). Unfortunately, they are prolific poopers, and are generally considered nuisances when they linger in an area in large numbers. But at least they have a good sense of direction (at least, the migatory ones do).

Millions of those damned rodents have not been able to find their way out of Toronto parks for decades.

Oh joy! I love replacing water heaters, particularly those below the sole that were put there before the boat was completed.

I replaced my hot water heater a few years ago. My old one was well enough insulated to keep water hot for 2 days. New one: 1 miserable day. 😠🤬😠😡😥🤬 And cost a lot
