Hi,
We just bought a 4.08m (aprox. 13.38ft) long dinghy and there are no identifying marks on the boat anywhere. Would be nice to find the make of it... Any help appreciated.

thanx a lot,

It looks a little like a 470 class sailboat. But, I don't think that's what it is. Maybe a knock off of a 470.

Did you get the rigging along with it? That would make it easier to identify.

Search Sailboatdata.com by length and then start looking at photos. It isn't a Hobie 405 or Ghost 13, I'm not going to go look at the rest of the possible hits. The fact that the mast appears to be deck stepped is unusual.

Dale: dinghies can be sailboats. Not all dinghies are inflatable tenders.

seems that it could be SPINDRIFT 13... or not?
Alex, thanx for the idea to search in sailboatdata

Not a Spindrift. Look at photos of those.

The centerboard trunk and deck stepped mast are visual keys.

The lines on that are very different. Your boat has floatation tanks at gunwale height that you sit on. The Spindrift has seating below gunwale height.

Do you have rigging? Without it this is mostly an academic exercise, it will certainly be cheaper to find a full dinghy then to try and get this unknown one sailing again.
