Hi Guyfromthenorth,
Seems to me, you've simply 'over-boated'. We had a bad case over overboating once we hit New Zealand. Everything we touched, broke. I was messing up simple procedures. The boating kitty was virtually drained. We were exhausted, and I was not having fun. Do not worry. This is apparently "normal". We left the boat in the Marina, and flew home. After two months, I was itching to get back, and tear into the remaining issues, full of piss & vinegar. Perhaps you simply need a break, like the one I had. That time was 4 years ago, and we are still very happily living aboard. Currently, our TO DO list has 3 items on it. Yep, that's it. Apart from those 3 issues (which I will get to), our vessel is 100%, and the jobs completed, have stayed completed. A lot of it is a learning curve. You were in a tough position to start with, having an older boat, and put to hard, continually use. Of course the boat will survive (and thrive) this use, but it has to be properly seasoned, which you are currently in the middle of. Don't despair, it's all kind of the deal which no one, unfortunately, ever mentions. Any way, you are almost home, and once there take a well deserved break and see how you feel in two months without the boat.
