No one seems to have really looked at your picture - that hole is were a “throu-hull” fitting has been REMOVED.
it was probably a feed for a sea water flush to the head - it does not look big enough for a transducer or a head outlet.
It needs a fitting installed with a seacock or if you no longer want it then it must be properly glassed over.

I looked at the picture. It looks exactly like my two sink drains.

At any rate, we're talking amongst ourselves because the OP doesn't seen interested in any of the helpful replies to his question.
But as a general consideration, I thought that exposed fiberglass could lead to water impregnating into the layers. Which I thought was why I’m supposed to fix the cracked gelcoat on my SJ21 that I haven’t gotten wet yet. Got it 3-4 years ago and I’m plenty busy.
