Just bought a garmin 4212, and need a mount.
I need to be able to swivel the unit for each long tack.

Anyone have one? Is it sturdy?

Hey,

I had one of those on my last boat. My plotter was smaller - 5" and the RAM mount worked great. My new boat came with the plotter mounted with a non swivel bracket and I miss the ability to rotate the plotter so I can see it from the high side.

Yes, I have one for my 7" Raymarine mfd. it is very sturdy and stable even in rough conditions. it's a good product.

I believe the 4212 has the ability of the optional wifi adapter..with that one can load the Garmin Helm app on a iPad or iPhone and control/observe the chart plotter from any where on the boat
