Just a quick question. How long can gas be trusted in tank?

Due to weather and real life, I haven't taken my boat out since mid June. Tomorrow I can finally make a short cruise. The fuel has been stored in a red plastic fuel tank in our boat house since June 15th or so. It was fresh gas bought in late April. Would you trust it?

How long should I let this stuff sit before fear of separation? I think I ran all last year on the same 3 gallons, but ya know I get nervous in my oldish age.

GrampianCT, I have gasoline stored in plastic and metal cans for much longer than a couple months, to fuel the various lawn equipment and the emergency generator for the house. I've never had a problem with it, yet. Tho now I add StaBil when I fill them. For our boats I now use StaBil marine formulation.
