Looking for any advice tips for sailboat fishing/trolling. I will be chartering in the South Pacific and likely in the BVI in the near future. My goal is to find methods to get past the barracuda and into tuna, wahoo, mahi mahi, and any other good eating fish.

BUY THIS BOOK!!!!

West Marine: Cruiser's Handbook of Fishing Product Display

The Cruisers Hanbook of Fishing is awesome. That guy is a freaking fish catching machine. It is the Holy Grail of Fishing for cruisers, no kidding. I learn something new everytime I open it. I think it has a place right beside Chapman's, Rousmanier's Annapolis Seamanship, and Nigel Calder Boatowner's Guide to Mechnaical and Electrical Systems. If you do not own all four of these books, get them before you leave.
