You can search Google books and magazines
Advanced Book Search
I did a 'sailing' search and got this: https://www.google.com/search?tbo=p&tbm=bks&q=sailing&tbs=,bkt:m&num=100&gws_rd=ssl
You can't down load the materials, but it seems you can read many of them. I did a search for Designer's Choice 15 (sometimes including 'shadow') and on occation an advertisement will show up giving some historical info.
