Crossed the Gota Kanal with my family on our OVNI 445. Takes a good full week. 70 locks. Several places we stopped which were really nice :
- Goteborg main marina, center of town. Arrive early.
- Vanersborg marina : a dinner in town is great, plenty of great restaurants
- Ingaro : 58°42.274N 13°11.488E. Superb and quiet anchorage in the middle of small islands. Take the dinghy to explore.
- Sjotorpsviken : nice little sea side town. it is better to moor after the lock rather than in the marina at the entrance.

Did you go from Göteborg to Stockholm through Trollhättankanalen and Göta kanal?

Hi Knuterikt, yes, Trollhättankanalen and Göta kanal.
Came back along the cost down to Germany, took Kiel Kanal, and back to Brittany.
We stayed a few days in Gotland which is fantastic.
