Greeting to all, I am new to the site and new to sailing without a sail boat. I have a good amount of time on the open water in my boat in AK. Am planning on getting into a 40' to 45' cutter in about 4 years and start sailing the seas for awhile. I have been doing a lot of reading, learning about all of this and planning a sailing course next year ASA 101,103,and 104 to get a good feel for it. I am looking forward to picking up anything on the site that maybe helpful in the future.
Not looking at buying a boat in AK do to the higher priced boats but have been researching, shopping to see what I want and where I will find it.
