I have a Pearson 28 sailboat built in 1977 and I need to replace the head. I need to know how to attach it to the floor. Is there a steel plate under the floor to tap into? What type of bolts do you use? Can you reach under somehow to attach nuts and how do you get to that area? Also, how can you unfreeze a seacock that will not close?

Hi, I think with this Pearson, you should find Daniel Spurr''s ( Practical Sailor) book.
Can''t remember the name, most of the work is done on a Pearson. The book is very good for anyone renovating a sailboat.
The seacock thing...haul the boat and replace! Then perhaps you can clean up the old one and keep as a replacement.
