We have completed our summer cruise of Nova Scotia and Maine. On Saturday we left Potland to start our trip south to the Bahamas. We will be hugging the east coast and transiting the ICW. See our website to follow our progress or read up on our summer cruise.

Agreed; very envious! Are you trying to keep to a schedule, or just cruising along at your own speed?
Our schedule is dictated mostly by weather. Where and when we go next is usually a last minute decision. We have no set time to reach any destination. We may not even make it to the Bahamas this winter but that is our general goal. I write this as I review our schedule for transiting the cape cod canal tomorrow!

Good luck! I'll try to keep checking the site to see if/when you're in our area.
Cool. We do have a blog emailer so you can register to get updates by email. Will probably go off shore for Jersey coast to Cape May and then up the Delaware to the C&D canal.

Get your boney ass south, Tim - winter is almost at our doorstep here in the People's Republic of Maryland. The weather forecasters are calling for the possibility of snow here by the end of the week.

If you don't make it to the Bahamas, I think you'll find the lower Florida Keys will more than suffice this time around.

Have a safe trip, Tim,

Gary

Alter course a tad to the left and ease your sheets. Bermuda is closer and the doorway to the Caribbean. Fla is unfriendly and expensive, come join us in paradise.

I'll look forward to following your progress south, good luck...

But you damn well better make it to the Bahamas, you hear?

I see that you're in Plymouth MA today. Next stop will likely be Onset, or possibly Cuttyhunk.

I have a friend in a Catalina 36 that headed out a week or so ahead of you. She's heading to Florida (Marathon I think). I believe that she's run into mechanical problems with her M25 in CT (damper plate exploded), so you'll likely catch up, and probably pass her. If you do see the Catalina 36, Nomad, please say "HI!"

Good luck, and fair winds to you and the crew!

Actually in Cataumet now Ed. The canal did not turn until 12:30ish and they also had a closing that delayed us. Will keep an eye out for Nomad. Too bad she is not near me. I did tHe damper plate and tranny on my M25 in a day a few years back. Pretty easy once your lift the engine out. Point her to my website. Some of the project photos might be helpful.
