Hi everyone.

I've sailed a little swing-keel on a good sized (20+mi by 4mi) inland lake for the past 7 yrs. Not a whole lot left to learn with her, so I bought a 1977 Kells 28 a few weeks ago. Typical classic plastic, built like a tank, enclosed lead ballast, modified fin-keel, transom rudder with a wheel, (not sure if I like that yet) and a 12hp Yanmar. (Small run boat, maybe 40 hulls?) If anyone else has one or had one in the past, please get in touch.

I had her out a few times, but she's on the hard for the winter now. Basically solid, but like any old boat, lots of work to do, so I'll need a little advice here and there.

I've crewed similar sized boats in local races for the past several years.

Fair Winds to all,

Jeff

Welcome to the group...I cannot offer any input on your boat, but still I wish you the best of luck with your new boat.
